I totally agree, not only is LKJ the original dubpoet and should be respected as the best to ever recite such powerful poetry to reggae music. Dennis Bovell, also of Matumbi fame is undoubetly one of the most underated producers of this genre, especially during the Golden Era that is the early 70s to the mid 80s.

LKJ brought many people to tears with the most powerful and heartfelt accounting of an incident that was all too real for those of us who grew up under the SUS law in the UK and the police brutallity that was a natural result of a racist English culture at the time.

That is the real reason why roots music from a UK perspective has always been powerful and revered by the people who regard it as a historical accounting of life in the UK and the struggle of a people who refuse to accept the inhumanity and biased society who needed them during the war but tried to discard us like objects no longer useful but seen as a burden to them.
